What is a scholarship? 💰

A scholarship is a grant or payment made to support a student's education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement.

In other words, a scholarship is free money given to a student based on their application to the scholarship! You do NOT have to pay a scholarship back, so it's great to apply to as many as possible!

(Note: You are not guaranteed to receive every scholarship that you apply for. Be sure to check the requirements for each scholarship and make sure that you qualify.)

From national to state, local, school district (AISD) and Lamar-specific scholarships, there is something for EVERY student!
Click below to see a growing list of scholarships available. This includes national and local opportunities that are specifically compiled for Lamar students.
